La iguana, iguana verde o teyú (Iguana iguana)

La iguana, iguana verde o teyú (Iguana iguana) es un gran lagarto arbóreo de América Central y de Sudamérica. Se la encuentra desde México hasta el norte de Argentina, sur de Brasil y de Paraguay, tanto como en las Islas del Caribe y en Florida. Miden hasta 2 m de longitud de cabeza a cola y pueden llegar a pesar más de 15 kg. Pertecece al grupo mayor y de más complicado diseño de los saurios del Nuevo Mundo, al que pertenecen la mayoría de las especies. Se incluye en la familia de los Iguánidos.

Green Iguana

My Iguana on my roof catching some sun. Taken with my new camera the Panasonic DMC-FZ7. Still figuring it out, was about 4 feet away from the iguana when i shot this i like how close i can get with the 12X zoom and how sharp it came out.

iguanas falling from trees

so the cold snap on the eastern seaboard has caused the cold blooded iguana to go into a hibernation of sorts and fall out of trees. I thought this would be a good image to do, and a fitting end to my first week of msced.
